IPSCMI Grandfathering Program

Designed to recognize purchasing and supply management professionals who may have already demonstrated their knowledge and experience in the field, the Grandfathering Program gives purchasing professionals the opportunity to certify without the exam requirement. This is a limited program and we encourage Grandfathering candidates to apply as soon as possible to participate.
Five IPSCMI certifications may be awarded through the Grandfathering program:
CIPM - Certified International Purchasing Manager
CEPP - Certified E-Procurement Professional
CISCM -Certified International Supply Chain Manager
CISM - Certified International Sourcing Manager
CICCM - Certified International Commercial Contracts Manager
How Does It Work?
The Grandfathering Certification Program is a straightforward, points-based system. Applicants may meet the requirements for Grandfathered Certification by accumulating points (CIPM/CEPP/CISCM/CICCM requires a minimum of 100 points, CISM requires a minimum of 120 points.) based on their previous relevant experience, other certifications, training and accomplishments in the field - and may be awarded certification without the exam requirement.

Time Period
The opportunity for Grandfathered Certification will expire December 31, 2008. After December 31, 2008, candidates must not only meet the education and experience requirements, but must also take the rigorous 3-hour professional certification examination in order to get certified as a CIPM/CEPP/CISCM/CISM/CICCM.
We encourage all professionals seeking certification through the Grandfathering Program to start their application process as soon as possible, so in case issues or questions arise, you will have enough time to address those before the program expires.
Payment
CIPM Grandfathered Certification Fee is $220.
CEPP Grandfathered Certification Fee is $220.
CISCM Grandfathered Certification Fee is $220.
CISM Grandfathered Certification Fee is $270.
CICCM Grandfathered Certification Fee is $220.
Express Mail Fee ($50)
You can wire your certification tuition (and express mail fee, if desired) to our bank account or you can send us a credit card payment at http://www.ipscmi.org/Pay.php.

The Second Step:
Fax your application and supporting documentation to 415-651-8884 or email them to Grandfather@ipscmi.org.
The Third Step:
The Grandfathering Application process takes approximately 10 working days. After that, we will inform you of your eligibility for the Grandfathering Certification.
The Fourth Step:
Make payment either by credit card or by money transfer. Certificate shall be issued within 10 working days after the funds are received.
